Decentering Whiteness Project

Decentering Whiteness in Contemporary Dance Pedagogy

In 2021, Midday Movement Series was awarded an Art for Racial Justice grant from Cambridge Arts to create a workshop aimed at decentering whiteness in contemporary dance pedagogy. This project is a community-informed tool to begin the process of moving contemporary dance away from pillars of white supremacy culture in our class spaces.
